Introduction
For security reasons we sometimes ask users to verify their identity before they’re able to send out newsletter campaigns. Requiring proof of identification via text message is an effective way to keep spammers from abusing our systems.
Verification without a phone
If you don’t have a mobile phone, you can use a friend’s number to request the code via text message. You don’t have to worry about your friend’s number being attached to your account. We won’t use this number for anything else besides account verification.
Use of your phone number
We will only use your phone number to send you a verification code and to make sure it is not being used to create or verify a large number of accounts. We will never share your number or use it to send you unwanted messages.
Cost of text messages
We suggest contacting your mobile phone provider for details on costs associated with text messaging. These costs vary, depending on your plan and provider but will likely be your standard text message charges.
Maximum number of accounts
In an effort to protect our users from abuse, we limit the number of accounts each phone number can create.
